Hi,
Had a 2011 base mini model and used it for about 5 months. One of the things that was great was putting the computer to sleep instead of shutting it down. Sold it to a friend and got a 2012 Mid i7 w/SSD drive. It's blazing fast, which is great, but doesn't seem to come out of sleep when I put it there or if the system is idle and the monitor goes into sleep it doesn't seem to return.

I think I have got it to come out of sleep mode after waiting a while, but not really sure it does that consistently. Are there any tips for this? Is it related to the SSD? Are SSD ok/good to put to sleep like I did with the HDD in the old one or will it age the SSD faster?

I'm going to want to leave it running all day sometimes and access it remotely during the day and then come home and use it after work.

Any experiences or suggestions appreciated.

So I think I figured this out by luck.

I think it's actually the monitor. As i mentioned, with my 2011 model it worked fine and I did not have to do what I now am doing with the 2012 model. Everything is the same, monitor, keyboard, cables, etc.

So if I turn the monitor off when I wake the system up from sleep and turn the monitor on, it is waking up properly. It must have been that putting the 2012 model to sleep and not turning my monitor off/on the monitor would not wake up on it's own, not the mini...
