2012 mini, I am stumped

Ok just picked up a 2012 Mini from Best buy, I had a 2011
I hooked it up, all working fine BUT....no iPhoto everything else is where it is supposed to be on the dock, but I photo is nowhere to be found, am I missing something here, any ideas, thanks.

Go to the Mac App store and download it there. You get it all for free.

I thought 8.0 added iphoto and 8.1 did away with it and remerged it with camera roll
I have the icon but it doesnt open iphoto

Hi thanks, went to the App store and downloaded it, works fine, still do not understand why it was not there
