2012 vs 2014 base model

Get the 2012 base model, it's got a faster processor and you can upgrade the ram in it when you want to, unlike in the 2014 model. Unless you want ac wifi or better graphics/thunderbolt 2 a 2014 mac mini is a step back from the 2012 model!

Yes, there are wifi ac adapters availible for example from OWC.
