2013 Imac catalina. alternatives to "genius" bar-
I almost choked on that.(genius)...had it to the apple store 4 times in the last 5 weeks...apple store is not close..
Orig...1st visit would not boot ..boot about 80% and stop--
they say fixed, passes all diagnostics..brought home same thing---back to the apple store--still would not boot. passed all diagnostics again so they say..back now of the third time booted ok but blue tooth would not recognize my keyboard- ok on the mouse, but not keyboard so could not type in my apple id password etc to set it up.--back to apple store-tekkie sold me a wired keyboard for 100 that I would bet 100 I did not need- ..back to apple store again--booted obviously to slow-finally got a tekkie to agree to put in a new h.d. which is what I wanted in the first place...had a senior advisor documenting visits and my reporting to him.. I was not charged for new h.d.or labor
...booted up ok at the store today-brought it home, booted up ok -started the set up process, trying to reload my time machine backup ..hung up for an hour and half.-powered off and attempted reboot -
Now will not boot up again- same as before (originally) boots up about 80 85% and stops ...
I have had enough of the genius b.s.-
Question is? where and who to take it to ?Otherwise it is a paper weight -- not wild about Best Buy though I know the manager. I think they are "genius" rejects or maybe visa versa—
