Any problems?
Don't do it. Wait at least a month unless you're the type who enjoys visiting Las Vegas.
In my case everything went smooth. Nice update, boot rom upgraded too, probably and the GPU's firmware, because after the update for the first time we have boot screens on 4k Eizo Displays (using (DP 1.2).
I think that 10.12.4 is a rare good update for nMP, after a long long time.
Good luck!
Finally 4K boot screens work as designed!
So weird to see so many people having issues with the GPUs. The only issue I had with mine was towards the end of 2015 with the defect that was identified for nMPs built earlier that year. Ever since the GPUs were replaced my nMP has been rock solid with no GPU/video issues.
Those of you with GPU restart or crashing nMP issues are aware of the warranty extension for the GPUs and have checked to see if yours qualify, right?
Do you do a lot of 4K editing that actually taxes the nMP and makes it over heat the GPU's? Already had one editing system with D700's replaced a couple months ago. Now we are seeing the same artifacts in file exports a second time and will have to have Apple replace the GPU's a second time under the extended replacement program. I work with multiple nMP's (D500 & D700) and some of them do not have issues when working in HD media, but any of them pushing 4K content seem to have GPU issues. BTW, none of these nMP's are running Sierra yet, still on EL Capitan 10.11.6.
I do edit 4K, not as frequently as I'd like since I don't shoot much in the bleak winter, but I do other tasks that do exercise them regularly.

Yeah, no fun heading out into the cold if you don't have to. It's one of the tasks that does make it fail for our nMP's. Cranking the fans helps sometimes, but when doing multiple 4K exports, it will tax the system enough even with the fans running full. The editor is having to shutdown after a export failure and let the Mac cool down for 5 minutes, boot up, restart a fresh export. Not a productive workflow. As I've said in other threads, hopefully Apple will deliver some new hardware soon. Otherwise it's a retool of all our hardware to windows boxes for the edit systems... not something I'm looking forward to after being on Apple hardware for years.
Not something i wanna hear.....
Tim has to go. Hes on political campaign.I wish Apple would hear it! Apple's current actions sure don't show it. Another iPad, another iPhone, another watch band. I know plenty of companies in the M&E (Media & Entertainment ) space that are chomping at the bit to upgrade their old Apple hardware.

Hi All,
I took the risk and updated to macOS 10.12.4 on my 2013 Mac Pro. Everything seems to be working with the new update. =)
