Hi everyone,

I am really hoping someone here can help me. I have a 2013 MP that has become very sluggish. istat shows the CPU at near max and the task that is hugging up things seems to be kernel_task. Right before this happened, the computer was shaken (physically) since I was trying to remove the cover that was stuck. I am assuming that some sensor is damaged now? I changed the thermal paste on both GPUs and the CPU but to no avail. I have tried a different startup disk with a fresh OS install but to no avail. Has anyone had this issue? Any suggestions? System is on Mojave if that helps.

Edit to add that I ran diagnostics but it comes up with no issues.

Many thanks.

Sounds indeed like the system is trying to cool down by blocking off the CPU, probably indicating a sensor issue.
Might want to try installing a fan/sensor utility and show the output here for comparison. Macs fan control or iStat would seem like a good starting point.

I carried it for diagnostics and CPU Riser 12V Highside is giving an error.
