For the last couple of weeks I've been getting regular kernel panics on my new rMBP. They seem associated with the graphics driver if I'm reading the log correctly.

Nothing specifically triggers it (it usually seems to happen when I'm away from the computer, I don't often actually catch it in the act), so I haven't been able to narrow down software or anything — I'm not using anything out of the ordinary.

Is anyone else being impacted by this?

The kernel panic could be caused by the Virtualbox software, Telestream software audio driver, Protech noels driver, Digidesign CoreAudio driver, or the Pace AP software you have installed. I would suggest uninstalling them all and reinstall them one at a time to find which one is causing the kernel panic.

All of those were in the system prior to 10.10.3 and weren't causing kernel panics though; the drivers can't be removed as they're unfortunately necessary DRM for audio software/hardware I use and removing them would invalidate the software.

VirtualBox isn't in use at the time the panics occur, either.

Because they weren't issues before the update does not mean that they not be causing the issue now. What I am suggesting is to uninstall the apps and drivers and then I installing them again one at a time to figure out what is causing the kernel panic. Also, VirtualBox has a driver installed that is running even though it is not being used.

Another thing to try, if the kernel panics have been happening often then I suggest booting into safe mode by holding down the shift-key. In safe mode none of the third party drivers will be loaded. If the kernel panics still happen in safe mode then it is not any of the third party drivers or apps causing the issue.

I can confirm, 10.10.3 has done something to graphics

I was playing Flash video today (Safari) and doing other things and my Mac shut itself off today. I started it back up and it got things going again and I watched the temp., it was hovering around 88ºC with the fan at max. speed, and I think it shuts down over 90º? So, 10.10.3 is doing something with graphics that is causing the processor to be getting too hot? (NOTE: this is also with the new Safari update.) Previously, I think the OS would do something to prevent overheating, but, ????? This has only been happening w/10.10.3, not any previous OS X, on this Mac, ever.

(me: 2010 MBP 13")

So, it's not a hardware issue, nor is it specific to one Mac, I also see other posts w/similar issues on other Macs.
