Hi, everyone.
I'm hoping someone can help me resolve this issue independently as Apple isn't sure what the issue seems to be.
I purchased a refurbished 2015 27" iMac in August. The device worked fine for a few days and suddenly it started shutting down randomly, as if someone unplugged the computer from the outlet. The iMac would then need to be unplugged from behind and plugged back in to turn back on. This persisted, I called Apple Support, and followed a few steps until the computer was fried and wouldn't turn on at all. I brought it into the Apple Store where they replaced the logic board. The machine worked fine for a few days, and then it started having the same issues it had before. I then had the device exchanged for a different one, but the same model and still refurbished. The second iMac worked fine for a week and a half when the same issue began occurring. Apple isn't sure what the issue is, and proceeded to tell me it must be an issue with my home. Is it possible that the computer doesn't like my outlets and is randomly turning off? I tried plugging it into different outlets and the same thing happens, and other things are plugged in and work fine! Sometimes it works for a few hours, sometimes five minutes.
If anyone has any tips or experiences with this, I would really appreciate the help. No one at Apple really knows what the issue is and I really love the computer and want to see it work.
