Hi guys, hope you're doing well.
A few days ago I started hearing a clicking sound from my iMac every 5 seconds or so. First impression was the HDD but after doing a few tests I found that was fine.
To try and control the fan I downloaded a third-party fan controller which said the fan was running at 000RPM.
Now when ever I do anything slightly CPU intensive it overhead and throttles to a point of it not being usable.
Have used Apple's online chat but all they say is to take it into a shop to have it checked out.
Don't suppose you guys have heard about anything like this before or are aware of any quick/cheap fixes are you?
I should add the Mac is only 14/15 months old
Cheers guys
