Hi all,

I Recently bought a 2nd hand Samsung S24R650FD monitor which won't connect to my 2015 early 13inch MBA through HDMI (thunderbolt 2 port).
The MBA is running macOS Monterey 12.7.3

Things I have tried:

- connected successfully to a TV and a Dell monitor
- switching HDMI cables
- my Xiaomi streamer successfully connected to the monitor using the same cables that don't work with my laptop
- turning everything on and off

are there any known issues with certain type of monitors and 2015 MBA? Tried searching the internet but nothing seems to work..

What brand and model HDMI adapter are you using?
I'd suspect the mDP-HDMI adapter. Some of them get a little "Touchy" with certain displays.

this is my adapter:

I have access to another adapter, but it will take a few days. I will update after trying a different one.

UPDATE:
it was the adapter that didn't like the monitor for some reason.
2 out of 4 adapters that I tried worked.
