2015 MBP 13' or 2016 MBP 13'(without touch bar)

Hello all hope u well.

I will buy a new macbook pro but ı cant decide. what should i buy ?
A older one(2015 with forcetouch) 256gb ssd ord A brand new mcp 2016(without touch bar)

I can't decide cause of new mcp hast got port and it's very
confuse my brain.
What is your ideas? Thank anyway. Have a nice day.

2015. More ports (no extra cost), same performance but more sustainable (28w vs 15w CPU), better battery life.
2016. Smaller, lighter

Better battery life ? New Macbook Pro have better battery life, the older ones have bigger batteries, but the battery life is actually less due to more the 2016 model being more efficient.

As far as the Original question goes.
Depends if you can get the 2015 Model Refurbished or in a good deal.
If you are buying new, both cost the same
The new one gives you
Better CPU (Slightly)
Better GPU
Better Screen
Better Speakers
Is lighter and slimmer so better portability

2015 Model gives you
More Ports
Better Keyboard ? (purely subjective)

So it comes down to preference. I opted for the 2016 model as apple does not sell refurbished macs in Netherlands so they would cost me the same, Having a better screen and being more portable was what seemed more valuable to me than the lack of ports. Having better Graphics and CPU performance (again slightly) is also a perk.
I dont use ports when on the go, and when on desk i can use a hub to get what I want.


So those are the pros and cons in my view, the rest is of course upto personal prefernce
