2016 13" MPB base or 15inch 2015 MPB

for music production! What do I get? Is the 2016 MacBook really any better than 2015 15"? I know we are talking aboug 2 different machines completely but I wanna know which one will last me the longest.

Dual core i5 and 8gb RAM (no touch bar)

Quad core i7 and 16gb Ram.
