So I've seen the other threads talking about newer MBP's having static issues when opening up after sleep, and I've definitely been experiencing that issue too. My problem though is that the issue is growing for me, and I just experienced my second complete freezing of my computer, while using it, that pixelated my entire screen.

I'm using a 2016 MacBook Pro 15" with Touch Bar, running High Sierra 10.13.5, 2.6Ghz i7, 16GB RAM, Intel HD Graphics 530 + Radeon Pro 450 graphics cards, 256GB SSD.

I'd say once or twice a week when I open the lid to my MBP, I'll notice some white flickering on the screen. Usually it only lasts a few seconds, but sometimes it can continue for up to a minute. During this time I can operate the computer as normal, at least whatever I can see through the white/grey lines on the screen. This is the issue it seems like a lot of people are having.

A few hours ago, I was using Safari with both Google Maps and Netflix running, and my screen did something different, and got very choppy (See attached image). I could see my cursor moving in the background, but could not click and apps as everything seemed frozen, including the Touch Bar.

I hard rebooted the MBP, and it came back up normally. Upon reviewing the error reports, I noticed there was one labeled "Kernel_2018-07-04-220204_Alexs-MacBook-Pro-2.gpuRestart" that correlates to the time the issue occurred. I noticed there was another .gpuRestart log from about a month ago, and I believe a similar incident happened then. I uploaded a few screenshots of that log file as well.

Does anybody have any ideas one what could be causing this, or suggestions on how to fix?

Thanks!

you can try to force AMD GPU in energy saver options and you will see if it's gets better
