So, with today's new refresh of the MacBook, I noticed that the USB Type-C port was replaced with USB 3.1 from USB 3.0
Do these ports support the Thunderbolt 3 specification?

In other words, can I connect this macbook to my Thunderbolt Display? I had to return the 2016 MacBook because it couldn't be done. (I know an adapter will be required, but I want to know if the port is capable enough)
