2017-2020 13" Logic Board Questions

I bought a 2018 4TB port 13" at a pawn shop as is, for super cheap and sadly its IC locked. but the case and screen are in good condition. Does anyone know if a 2017-2020 logic board will fit as a straight swap? I have a 2017 non Touch Bar already that would be a good donor and I suppose I could open them both to look to see any differences but I haven't yet.

I have never done a Logic Board swap on a MB before so this will be exciting. I bought a i7/16/1TB broken screen 2018 on eBay and I am going to either swap the screen or swap the board and sell what's left. I am have to decide which bottom case to use and try to determine the battery condition of the IC locked one to determine if it has a better battery.

The non touch-bar MBP will definitely not be interchangeable. A 2019 logic board would probably work since those are fundamentally the same computer as the 2018, but keep in mind the storage is soldered onto the logic board in all of the touch bar Macs so you'll be losing that 4TB of storage when you swap out the logic board. I hope this was an inexpensive purchase.

The IC locked Mac only had 512, it has 4 TB ports. I looked at some 2019 boards on eBay but the price of the broken screen 2018 was better since it was a i7/16/1TB. Inexpensive is relative, I am on PTO and bored and wanted a project.

Why do people assume that every IC locked Mac is stolen? There are plenty of Macs in the wild that get sold by people not realizing how to sign out of IC. The company I work has over 10k employees and they do zero MDM on any iOS device and we have piles of IC locked iPhones and iPads from former employees that are not stolen yet IC locked.
