2017 21" iMac with 2K external

Hi all.
Been a while since I posted but got a question as I can't find solid answer anywhere.
Will the 21" 2017 iMac work well with external 2K monitor at native resolution (i don't want any scaling)?
I know the 560 is not a killer GPU but I need it for illustrator / photoshop. Already got a great dell screen and got a pretty awesome deal on the iMac just not sure if those two will work well.

On second note I would prefer a laptop for portability but not sure if those GPUs on the 13" can handle photoshop / illustrator in any meaningful way.

My guess it that it will handle 2k (1920 x 1080, right?) just fine.

Make sure you get a good display, IPS or similar (avoid TN).

I have a good panel which is why I don’t need the 27” and FYI 2K is 2560 x 1440 and that’s why I’m not sure if iMac will be able to render that without scaling.
