Thanks to all who have posted on this topic. I've read a lot of build/repair reports, and just wanted to make sure I had the latest info/recommended parts (and my facts straight). Given the complexity of this process you can understand why I'd like to do it only once.

In addition, it's unclear to me if I need to be concerned about thermometer sensors or if using the below items cause sleep/hibernation issues? Will I need any other adapters or widgets or ...?

I have a 2017 5k 27" iMac w/ 4.2 i7 processor, and a 1TB fusion drive.

1- replace Fusion blade drive using these:
2- replace existing Fusion mechanical HDD with this:
3- Tools/repair kit
I recall that a Time Machine drive should be minimum 2x the size of the data. I have ~1TB of data, so 4TB of Time Machine space should be plenty.

Thank you!
