I have a 2017 iMac with the current update of Catalina.

Whether Safari, Pages, or any other application (in a Full Window or sized window) will minimize on its own.

For instance, reading a webpage, after a period of time the window minimizes.

If watching a video, after a period of time, it minimizes.

I don't know the period of time (maybe it is the same, I cannot be sure -- maybe it is random -- I don't know) it occurs.

If this is a designed-function of MacOS, I unaware of the setting to change.

If you have seen this, know how to modify/fix this, I would like to hear from you.

By the way, I just experienced it while typing this message. Therefore, I can say it is not related to inactivity. It happened mid-sentence.

Thanks in advance for your help.

if it happens very often then try disconnect your keyboard and see, maybe you have a stuck key works as a short cut to minimize the apps. like command+m.
I have seen MacBook Pro that turns off fully when you press the option key. and found that it was due to a water damaged keyboard socket.
