Hi all - first time poster here so sorry if this or something similar has been asked.

I currently own a MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2017, photo attached) and was wondering how it compares to the performance of the newest MacBook Air? I'm someone who loathes the keyboard on the MBP and was thinking about selling it to purchase the Air... potentially with an upgraded processor depending on performance comparison.

Any advice or resources that may be available would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Welcome to the forums. Sustained performance will likely be better on the MBP b/c it has a much better thermal system (28w w/ dual heatsinks w/ heatpipes and fans) vs 10w with a passive heatsink and 1 fan. Your MBP will also be quieter. You may want to wait, as a new MBP13 with the new magic keyboard is likely to drop in the coming weeks/months. The i5 MBA does better than your MBP in multi-core, and they are basically tied in single core.
