I followed the instructions at http://osxdaily.com/2017/11/22/use-touch-id-sudo-mac/ to use Touch ID to authenticate sudo from the command line.
Alas, it is a clumsy implementation. Instead of the Terminal window permitting use of Touch ID being the front window (with a pink fingerprint), it is the window behind the front window, off to the side, with a gray fingerprint. I can use COMMAND-tilde to make the Touch ID window be the front window, but what I really want is for the implementation to always work that way.
I'm not optimistic, but I have hope. I especially hope I have been clear. Should I post images?
