Anyone having this problem: iPadPro 2017...iOS16.1...can hear but not see video on FaceTime . Other end of call is new iPad. But...no problems with 2 other FaceTime calls. All three out of state for me. All devices on my end on same wifi and same 'call' number (where I can be reached). Not wifi as FaceTime works on my iPhone Pro. Think it has something to do with 'Continuity' or having iPad/iPhone / MacBook Pro all on same wifi and in same general area? Any suggestions?

The most likely reason is that the person on the other end has their camera turned off.
No. Thats not it. When he immediately calls and I answer on my iPhone…there is no issue. Also, if I answer on my MacBook Pro…again, no issue. Something to do with the iPad/Software…I guess????

Yeah, that's weird. It could be software related...are all devices on the latest OS? iPadPS 16.1 is the first released iPad version of iPadOS 16, so maybe it's related to that. But I don't have the problem and I've got the same iPad as you. Try rebooting your iPad.

Latest OS. Same Wifi. Same 'call ' number . I think it probably has something to do with the age of the iPad.....or bandwidth . IPad has latest update to 16.1. (20B82). Or...just a bug. Next I'll try at a time when I think most people are out/at work ...to check if its bandwidth....though that should affect the 2017 MacBook Pro I would think?

2nd reboot was the charm! Hadn't worked earlier when I tried but this time I also 'closed' all open apps (where you pull up the 'right' screen and swipe apps to the top to close them). Edit: But I know this old machine is having trouble with the newest/greatest iOS..actually gets 'warm' sometimes ...upgrade probably sometime next year.
