Hi guys i've just picked up a second hand 2018 Ipad Pro 11", really happy with it - especially the responsiveness of the screen!

Quick question about charging, i have of course got the genuine USB C apple adapter and it charges fine.

However i have a touring caravan (in the UK) which has built in 2amp USB standard charges which works fine with the iphone and old ipad.

Can I just get a USB A to USB C such as this one: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/UNBREAKc...hash=item2890a85cb5:m:mCChddPZjq_CtdwQ3afApBw

Will it charge? I'm not worried about the speed it charges as i usually charge my devices over night.

I would just order one and try it but i can't get down to my caravan due to the coronavirus lockdown!

Failing that I will just order another Apple power brick to plug in to the 240v outlet.

Kind regards

I have used several different generic USB A to USB C cables with my iPad Pro 11 and they work fine. I have several that are USB A on one end and have one USB C, two lightning, and one micro USB on the other end and they work great.

Just remember that with the 2018 and up IPP require a PD charger for max speeds. They don’t support the APPLE2.4A charging specs anymore. USB A to C chargers will charge at a max of 1.5 amps.
