I know Apple markets the new 12.9 iPad Pro as a laptop replacement, and most reviews are reviewing it as such. I’ve always been a person that uses my iPad as strictly a consumption/companion device that goes everywhere with me. I strictly use it for browsing, YouTube, social media, movies, music, games, note taking, light document and spreadsheet use, etc. I carry it around the house sometimes using it one handed. My company provides a laptop for my work, and I have a MBP for my personal heavy hitting and desk use. I don’t even use keyboards for my iPads and stick to the onscreen keyboard. I’m saying all of this to ask, how many of you use the new 12.9 in this manner as strictly a tablet for consumption? You don’t have the Apple Smart Keyboard Folio, and you don’t use it for serious work. I purchased the 11 inch for this reason and didn’t even give the 12.9 a look. I’m now curious how people feel about the 12.9 as a true tablet if that makes sense. I’m wondering how it performs and if it’s worth me swapping my 11” for the 12.9”. There’s a part of me that feels that Apple will put it’s focus on the 12.9” when it comes to iOS 13.

Not this year's iPad Pro but last year, I got the 12.9" primarily for reading comics full size.

It can be a bit "unwieldy" though so for most of my web surfing and reading normal books, I stick to my Pro 9.7 (or Kindle Paperwhite for ebooks).
