Hello everyone,

Recently I bought a new customized Macbook pro 15. It is actually baseline and only I upgraded the SSD to 512 GB. Today I installed the Blackmagic speed test app and I noticed that the write speed is 1790 MB/s and the read speed is 2580 MB/s. I was wondering if anybody knows whether it is normal or not? I have read that the write speed should be around 2500 MB/s? Should I take it back to the apple store?
I also installed the latest update, but it didn't help.

Your speeds are entirely normal for the 512GB Model.

With SSDs (due to how they spread data around for leveling) higher capacity generally shows higher throughput. I think the 1TB+ is the 2600/2600 model (at least mine hitting those speeds).

Thanks, I thought it is an issue, but apparently not.
