2018 Macbook with 4k monitor

Hey everyone,

So I still have my 2018 macbook pro 8gb memory. I recently just got a 4k Asus monitor to use while working. It seems my mac fans start running when I do even the slightest things on the monitor. I run out of memory way too fast. Any recommendations?
