Got my MBP 13 for a week now, just released I cannot completely power down my machine. Shutdown from Apple menu will turn off the display and touchbar, however trackpad will continue to have feedback, meaning the machine is still on (this happens with/without AC power).

Continue pressing the trackpad will boot up the computer.

Issues experienced so far
- Crypto-val error (solved by wiping the drive and do an internet recovery)
- Repetitive Power chime during sleep (chimes every 1-2 minutes)
- Cannot power down machine
- Battery only lasts 6-7hours with medium brightness and volume doing light internet browsing (<6tabs) and spotify
- Unable to boot from external drive (both 10.13.6) via thunderbolt & target disk mode

I have a 2017 MacBook Pro, and honestly it can be slightly irritating that it turns on by just opening the lid. Like sometimes I used to look to see if I left my MacBook on or already turned it off for the night, and I’d forget that it automatically turns on when opening it up. I got it now, but I wish there was an option in settings to turn off the auto on features.

The lid option can be switched off with Terminal command "sudo nvram AutoBoot=%00".

I'm not a fan what apple changed with this. If I wanted it to be powered down, then please power it down all the way.
