2018 Pro Smart Cover - Possible?

So what’s the general consensus? Is it possible, based on the magnets, to have a Smart Cover for the 2018 Pros? I hate folio designs and really miss having a clean, simple, leather Smart Cover.

I slid my Apple Pencil along the left edge of my 12.9” gen 3 ipp and there are definitely some magnets in there. Likely this is what clips it on to the Smart Keyboard folio when you are using the keyboard.

Whether those magnets are strong enough to hold a Smart Cover or not I don’t know, but I think there’s at least a chance that someone could come out with something.
