So I set my iMac to sleep and I send a magic packet to Wake on LAN and then use TeamViewer to connect to my iMac remotely. I have done this several times. But it was on sleep for last 2 days and I didnt connect to my iMac. Today I came to my iMac and tried hitting keys on my keyboard or Trackpad and nothing happened. After 2 mins I tried to press Power button to turn on and it didn't do anything.

Finally I had to unplug the power cable and plugged back in to turn it ON. Has anyone faced this issue? Anyone have any idea on what state the iMac would have been in when it didnt turn ON?

My 2017 iMac went blank and would only run loud fans, that was a logic board failure.

My 2019 iMac got stuck on the screensaver and would respond to keep presses. Then went blank. A hard reboot resolved.

I get really nervous when I see a black screen.
