I've been thinking about buying an Apple Certified refurbished 2019 Mac Pro from a business that had purchased a large volume of them direct from Apple. Thing is, the business said that they bought these back in Q3 2022, and they have never been sold since.

Question is, would these still be eligible for AppleCare coverage? If so, would there be any hoops to jump through (like taking it to an Apple store for evaluation)?

Interesting question. You definitely need to speak to Apple for a definitive answer... I'm going to make an assumption here... if the business isn't an authorized Apple Reseller then the business simply purchased them and warranty coverage would have begun on their purchase date, not your purchase date.

If that was the purchase date then AppleCare since over a year ago AppleCare would not be available.
