What would perform better for video edit? 16gb with integrated iris graphics or 8gb on imac with dedicated 555x 2gb graphics?

3.6GHz quad-core 8th-generation Intel Core i3 processor in imac
1.4GHz quad‑core 8th‑generation Intel Core i5 processor, Turbo Boost up to 3.9GHz in macbook pro 13

Also macbook pro have the ssd, I would add external ssd on imac. Taking all these into account, would they perform similiar or imac still would be significantly faster because of dedicated graphics?

I know, but I can't wait anymore, my 10 year old lenovo with 3gb of ram is dead and I just can't wait anymore. I forgot to mention that I will mostly be editing short <60seconds fullHD sequences. I know both can handle that, but if I get to do some 4k file, in theory would they perform similiar or dedicated graphics with less ram overall has advantage?

iMac is overall better solution here for 4k.
But for 1080p 60s videos no difference between the two.

I decided to go with 13 pro 16gb/256ssd. That SSD is also 10times faster than one I planned to use with iMac. I'm getting 250MB/s with my kingston ssd and mbp ones are above 2000MB/s. Not super important, but it is nice and I would probably benefit from that too.

Thanks for help.
