wow, just saw that amazon reduced $200 off the 2020 IPP 12.9, 128gb, new. This makes me think whether or not the M1 IPPs will have some special crazy exclusive performance announcement at WWDC in regards to iPadOS. In the past, I don't think previous generations iPads dropped that much when a new iPad releases...thoughts?

Apple certified refurb 2018 iPad Pro 12.9 64GB Wi-Fi was $699 after the 2020 Pros were released.

Indeed, the deep discounts on the 2018 iPad Pros was probably the primary reason most were recommending getting 2018 over 2020.

Would the sellers really know what's going on at the forthcoming WWDC with regards to iPadOS. The discounts are good, and they're really another $100 when the increased price of the 2021s is factored in.

I wonder how much lower the 2020 12.9 will go before stores begin running out of stock. $899 for a 256GB 12.9 Pro is pretty enticing if you don't need the increased speed and nicer display of the 2021 12.9.

2018 iPad Pro and 2020 iPad Pro are nearly identical, so I think it's a coincidence.

Looks like the 2020 12.9” is only $100 off to me. Did they have raise the price from the $200 discount they had?

You only see some of the additional discounts when you checkout and it's only on select models.

The 128GB Wi-Fi Silver and 256GB Wi-Fi Space Gray both seem to get extra ~$100 off during checkout.

Oh, I see. Thanks for the info. Seems like a great deal, but I’ve got my 2021 iPad Pro preordered already so I won’t bite.

I guess it depends on how many devices were available. I bought my 2018 11 inch iPP when the 2020 ones were made available because of the impressive discount for me. I checked now the place where I bought my 2018 one and the discounts for the 2020 are not there. Granted it seems that they have sold out most of the 2020 devices they had while with 2018 they had enough that they wanted to sell.

I bought 2018 11 inch 512 GB for 1230 USD back then (considering the taxes in my country). For comparison now for this money I can buy 256 GB 11 inch.

I’m tempted to buy the 2020 base 12.9 from Costco. It’s $799 plus I have a $100 off code which brings it down to $699. That new display would be nice though. I don’t do anything crazy just streaming movies and web surfing really.

That is a really great price on the 12.9! especially with the coupon code as well.

How do you get the coupon code?

Well the 2020 iPad Pro is gonna go down as one of the worst ever. No performance over the 2018 Pro, and hilariously outdated within a year by the XDR iPad Pro. RIP 2020 owners. Ooofffff
