I need some advice please. This is my first IPad Pro purchase. I ordered the 2020 12.9 in 256 gb cellular version from Amazon for $999 ($250 discount) I was not looking for cellular but noticed the price was the same so just bought the cellular version. I was torn about buying the 2020 version rather than the 2021 so I just preordered the 2021 12.9 256 gb wifi version from Apple as well. I figured I will decide and return one. The Amazon deal was such a good deal and obviously I would be able to use it right away, but I also wonder if it’s better to just get the newest one so that it ages better? What are your thoughts?

The most discount you can get for previous gen iPad Pro from apple or Amazon is $100 off. It’s up to you if that’s the difference between a new processor, more RAM (even for base model) and way better screen (12.9”)

Yeah I got lucky - a few days ago for some odd reason Amazon had the cellular version for 999 from 1249 so quickly grabbed it!

Since you don't need cellular, that's only a $200 difference. Personally, I'd rather get the latest model for the little extra. That $200 extra probably buys you 1-2 years more of iOS support as well.
