For those who have or are planning to purchase a 2020 iPad Pro, I‘m interested to see what storage option you have gone for. Please select one of the options in the poll above.

It would be cool if you could say why below.

Cheers!

I will be going for the 128GB model. I'm glad that Apple finally bumped up the base storage.

256 - more than enough. I don't really store any media on my iPad apart from notes.
It's still enough to load a bunch of movies onto, watch, then remove after watching

Interesting results so far. I’d have thought 256GB would be the most popular option by far, but I guess having the 128GB option makes it a more difficult decision this time around.

I'll reply since I originally bought the 2020 IPP 11". I got the 128GB model.

Great device, though I returned it for a refurbished 2018 IPP 256GB 12.9".

Hmm, I have the 2018 IPP 12.9 w/ 256 GB and have the 2020 IPP 11 w/ 128 GB; thinking of getting rid of the 12.9. Still on the fence which one I'll keep.

I chose 256GB for my 2020 iPP 11 order. I wanted to get 512 or 1TB, but I also wanted to spend less than $1000 all together (iPP+screen protector+tax).

256GB 11” for me. At time of writing I use only ~32GB. I’m sure 128GB would have worked, but since I kept bumping up against my storage limits with my previous iPad, I wanted to make sure I have room to grow and won’t have to worry about last minute storage management before heading out. It was worth the extra cost to me to have that headroom.

I ordered an iPP 12.9 / 512GB
I have my iP 11 Pro Max w/ 256 and it's almost full - mostly photos. I do use iCloud for photos and all the other bits.

I am one of those users who could use that much storage.

i've always gotten the 256gb, but this is the first reaonable baseline they offered so i went with the 128, i don't store alot on my ipads anymore

Went with 128 there’s so many affordable small usb-c storage devices. I can’t see me taking up more than 64–80gb of apps which leaves plenty of space for media or multimedia workspaces for me. Which again I would interchange often with a small drive.

I got 256GB. My previous iPad was the Air 2 / 64GB wich got full from day one (I falsely thought that 64GB would be enough coming from iPad 2/16GB). This time I wanted to have some room to expand as I plan to keep this tabled for 4-5 years.

And, by the way, the 12.9” iPad Pro is the best product from Apple I’ve ever bought. Browsing, creating documents, photos, games - I am so blown away by the experience. The tablet itself has a much better and solid finish than the Air 2. Would never buy anything not from the pro line again.

The serious downside is the price... it costs more than my mac mini

But you get what you pay for. Apple may not be 100% perfect but it’s close.

I've always gone for the 256GB iPad's but my current 11" Pro has only used around 50GB so 128GB would be plenty for me. Also be interesting to know who's gone for the wifi only and those who have gone for the cellular? Maybe this can be added to the poll?

I have the 2018 12.9 IPP 256GB but will be trading that in for 2020 11-inch IPP 128GB. I have always gotten cellular models since the first iPad.

I’ll be getting the 128GB, currently have the 64GB and it’s too small— apps keep uninstalling themselves (to save space?)

I bought my wife the 128GB 12.9" to replace her 32GB iPad Air 2 which was a hand me down from me, and was starting to become unreliable. She wanted the bigger screen, and pencil support, but doesn't use it for anything intensive, so even 64GB would be enough for her. I tried to get her a refurb 2018 with 64 or 256GB but there were none available here. I got 256GB in my 2018 12.9" last year, but 128GB would probably be enough for me.

128gb for me. I'm coming from an iPad with 32GB of storage and managed so this is a big jump

With my 2018 Pro I went with 256 as it was the first option above the base 64. Currently I’m using 80GB, and the only time I really use more storage / put large files is syncing movies/video locally for offline viewing during travel.

I’d go with 128 myself.
