I have seen a lot of posts about problems with Big Sur installs but I haven't seen any like what I experienced. My 2020 Mac mini, 3Ghz 6-Core i5, 32 GB Ram, 500GB SSD, 1TB external SSD. Installed Big Sur last Friday and couldn't get anything to work. Zero bluetooth functionality, logged into iCloud I could not see family sharing or shared apple one, Opening iTunes, Apple TV, App Store all yeilded white boxes on my screen. Safari would load a webpage occasionally and then indicate not connected to the internet the rest of the time (excellent wifi connected), Same internet connectivity errors when trying to use email or photos, or anything else that would show more than a blank white box.
I thought perhaps it needed time to finish doing whatever it was doing so I waited about 36 hours. Same situation with no improvements. Rebooted in recovery and restored fully from time machine back to my install prior to Big Sur. Everything worked perfectly again. Guessing I will wait for the next significant release of Big Sur before trying again.

Two eeek old Intel mini 16/512 i5 is flawless. I did have an eternity cable id used for a year that was one of the culprits. A year old router Netgear AX40 got replaced with newer AX45.
