I have a 2020 13" Intel MacBook Pro that won't boot up. I bought this last year to work on but haven't had much time. When I bought it, the seller said that it would turn on, but there was no picture on the display. I figured it was probably just a dead display and so I switched it out. However, it then refused to turn on at all. I put it down and came back to it today.
Now, it still has the new display connected, I've been charging it for a while, and the only thing that happens when I turn it on is that the fan spins up (at least that's a good sign since it must have been so dead that wasn't even happening initially).
I've tried all of the typical key combinations for turning on a MacBook, resetting PRAM, etc. I've tried putting it into DFU mode in Apple configurator, but it doesn't appear in the configurator on the host MacBook Pro. I also replaced the ribbon cables that connect the battery to the logic board. It looks pristine inside, so I don't think there's any physical damage.
Any ideas? Things I haven't tried or other ways to try and get it turned on past solely the fan spinning up?
