I’m coming from late 2013 15’ rMBP.
I'm still getting used to the Force Touch trackpad.

When I'm highlighting / selecting a large amount of text area of text to copy & paste from a webpage, e.g. more than 4 lines. in Chrome or FF, one finger starts to lose touch with Trackpad before I'm able to select all the text to copy.

I have one click option turned on, so the Dictionary app will open/pop up or I’ll accidentally trigger the Page Zoom action on FF or Chrime.

Any help would be appreciated.

If you mean you get to the edge of the trackpad before you have selected all the text, then just temporarily touch a finger from your other hand somewhere on the trackpad: this enables you to lift and reposition your first finger on the trackpad and continue to select text.
Also useful when dragging and dropping something, when you get to the edge of the trackpad before you are ready to drop.
Easier to do than describe.
Some people can do it with two digits on one hand, but it is easier to learn as I describe above

I use a trackpad on my desktop system with full size keyboard i.e F-keys F1 up to F19. I only have a keyboard no more mouse! (used a magic mouse). In this setup, you can make drag and drop operations far more comfortable if you define an alternate pointer action for drag and drop (Acessibility->Alternate pointer actions). I assigned "Drag and Drop" to the F1-key on the upper left of the keyboard and enabled "Use F1,F2 etc. keys as standard function keys" in Keyboard->Keyboard Shortcuts->Function Keys. If you select something for drag and drop, I just can hit the F1 key and move with one finger to the desired location. The F1 key acts as a switch for drag-lock. So you can remove your finger from the keyboard if you are reaching the edge of the trackpad. If you want to drop, just hit F1 again or even simpler klik on the trackpad. I do like this much more than 3-finger dragging or any other trackpad drag and drop mode.

This might be helpful, mainly for desktop systems using full-size keyboards.

Best regards.
