I have two issues with my trackpad on my new M1 Max. The first happens a few times a day, the second only every once in a while. Wondering if anyone else is experiencing this? I've not had these issues with previous Macs so I don't think it's me.

Issue one: occasionally when I click somewhere, the active window jumps to the side, as if it had been instantly dragged to a position such that the top right corner of the window is now approximately where I clicked. This is super annoying and I can't find a pattern as to when it happens.

Issue two: sometimes when waking from sleep the trackpad is very slow as if the sensitivity is very low. After a couple of seconds it is normal again.

Trackpad settings:
- Scroll Direction Normal is off (I'm old school)
- Force click is off (couldn't get used to it and kept doing it by accident)

Anybody else?

Not sure I follow what you're saying. Are you using a mouse, or are you talking about the onscreen pointer (cursor)?

Oh I worded it really badly, I've edited my post. Just trackpad. No mouse.

Are you running any software that allows you to add gestures or shortcuts, arrange your desktop, or the like? There are commands that would allow you to move the front window over to one side.

Alternatively, could it be that your trackpad is detecting an unintentional click and drag?

I used to have an issue where if I quickly moved the pointer off a window, it would sometimes drag the window. That was under High Sierra on my 2016 15". I have't had any issues like that with my 2021 16".
