Reviews usually come out a couple days before order date.
This is not true. Reviews always came a couple of days AFTER the order date. Apple doesn‘t want that reviews can affect their sales. Typically, the order day ist on a friday and the first reviews came the next tuesday. So we can expect media coverage on tuesday at the earliest

I'm hoping to see reviews today. For phones, order goes live a few days after the event, and then the review is the following week. Since this pre-order day is a week later, I'm hoping they will drop today or tomorrow, to get people excited for the pre-order.

I hope they don't have an embargo until after pre-orders. I've quickly looked up past launches (take this with a grain of salt as I did this in like 5 min), and it seems the most consistent is giving a week to review products.

My predictions:
iMac today, iPad tomorrow

An example from the recent past: iPhone 12 preorders were on October 16, MKBHD released his unboxing and first impressions October 20, review October 25. And in the unboxing/impressions video he said that he had been using and testing for "a couple days now"

It’s an interesting question, I would love to see a review before pre-order but I don’t think it will happen.

Things I would like to know before pre-order:

1. How good is the XDR display on 12.9?
2. What does the M1 chip really mean for performance compared to the 2020 iPad version?
3. What will iPadOS 15 at WWDC mean for a M1 iPad?

Would love to see a review on that new screen on the 12.9" before pre-ordering tomorrow. If the screen is the bomb diggity then 12.9" it is... otherwise, the 11" will be the one.

9AM ET and nothing - don't think it's this week folks. Probably coming next Tuesday or Wednesday.

After everyone has pre-ordered... lol
They probably know that hardcore fans - aka the crowd that would have queued and will buy at 5:00AM - don't need the reviews. For the rest of the audience, it's probably a win to make the embargo lift later. It give reviewers a bit more time to produce a quality review and it provides press coverage closer to when the devices are going to become available in store (if rumors about may 21 are true).

Iphone Pro Max reviews dropped on Nov 9 while Pre-order started Nov 6. The devices had been announced Oct 13.

Me too I want to see the reviews so much, but I also think that, other than the thoughts on the screen, it will not reveal much (in my opinion or use case) other than some better performance where I am already happyy with the performance of mine. And for the screen, I prefer to see it and judge it on my own other than seeing it in a video which would not be so easy to perceive the improvement or difference.

What I am waiting impatiently is the IPadOS 15 where we can see if the power of the New but also the existing iPad Pros, will be unleashed even further finally.

I didnt think we would see any reviews before the pre order date,

No company would shoot themselves in the foot allowing YouTubers to dish reviews good or bad on their products…

Although.. if all we had was iJustines in the world, then we would see the new products weeks before pre order lol

iJustin ‘the one thing I just love’ - ‘I just love this’ - ‘Just Wow’ … she ain’t never going to dish Apple….
