I believe I read a review that the 11 get a better due to a normal screen.

Makes sense. but Real world experience means a lot.
I found a Tom’s review that said the 11 lasted A lot longer.

Better due to the regular LCD display without high dynamic range.

There is very little difference between them. There is a youtube video where the 12.9 M1 gets better battery life and there is an other video where the 11” M1 gets better battery life.

So it really depends what you do which will determine which models gets the slightly better battery life.

I’m getting 11 - 13 hours of battery life from my 11”.
