I have a battery bank able to deliver >90W. Just plugged in my 12.9” M1 iPP and it was pulling 36W when it’s battery was at 66%.

I‘m not sure if that’s the max or if it could pull more from a lower state of charge.

I use my 2017 15” USB-C charger for everything I can and haven’t had any issues. Charge all the iPads, laptops, phones, and my Switch with it and have been since 2017.

I forget where the article is, but I read an article testing a number of different chargers using a tool measuring how much was actually being pulled from the charger. And yeah, around 36 watts was the most it would use (and some more powerful chargers actually worked worse for some reason, giving the iPad Pro less energy).

Personally I use a 29 watt USB-C charger Apple sold a few years ago, charges the iPad nice and fast.

I used my MBP USB-C charger (both 8x and 9x watt versions) the majority of the time for 2+ years and had close to 90% battery capacity after 2.5 years (300+ cycles). Shouldn't make *that* much difference
Same here, using a MacBook Pro charger as well, one less charging cable getting tangled to worry about ??

It’s a Zendure Supertank Pro. It can actually supply 100W on a single channel or 138W across channels.

I’ve tested max power draw from a lower SOC (15%) on the M1 12.9“ iPP and it is 36W.
hey pro u have a good battery bank
btw can u do us a favor there is something i really want to know
can you deplete the ipp 12.9 battery to like 20% or lower, charge it and then tell us what is the max wattage it is inputting?

Thank you so much for this test. It’s the only max wattage test I’ve seen for the 12.9” 2021 iPad Pro. If you get a moment, would you mind testing how much (maximum) power the iPad draws when it’s asleep vs. when it’s on, doing some sort of task, and the screen is at full brightness? I’d be interested to know if Apple lets it draw slightly more power when awake so that it can still charge at maximum speed while also powering the device. I’m using a 65-watt charger so it doesn’t really matter but this is just the type of nerdy thing I wonder about.

It appears that this $80 multi-port charger above can accommodate these devices at these output.
  • 45W USB-C - iPad Pro
  • 30W USB-C - iPhone Pro Max
  • 10.5W USB-C - Watch or AirPods
  • 10.5W USB-A - AirPods or Watch
This same SKU charger can be had for $49 my home country.

And then use the original 140W charger for the MBP 16". I wanted a 5th port that can output 140W but I do not think any charger will ever do this within the next half decade at under $100

2tb 5g pro model.

i use a hub that consumes 15watts so i use this charger. included cable is emarker certified. ive only seen 36 watts form this pro but i did not flatten the battery to less than 10. ill see if i can do that and measure the current to see if i can pull 39 like the above user did.
