Hello everyone,
I recently tried a new benchmark, a Python program that does matrix multiplication on big matrices, lasts about 2 minutes total, and I noticed that the 8-core M1 Pro was hitting 112C (saw 113 once). What's strange to me is that the cores were still at their max clock speed (2064 MHz for the E-cores and 3036 MHz for the P-cores). Is this normal behavior? On Cinebench R23 it only hits 90-95C after about 10-15 minutes. This is also the only time I've heard the fans go full speed.
