Will the new 2022 12.9' iPad Pro have the same display and screen resolution as the current model?

The reason I ask is I pretty much only use my iPad Pro for watching movies and shows or listening to music using an external DAC. Should I wait until October to see what the new one brings or go for the current iPad Pro 12.9"?

Wait ofcourse. It is almost October.

But probably the display will remain the same as miniLED was just introduced last year.

Wasn't there a rumor that the screen size may increase? Or was that just for the regular ipad.

Yes, because their is no reason to change the resolution and higher resolution will mean more strain on the processor and battery. And I’d imagine it will use the same screen tech, Mini LED, no doubt improved though in some way.

Of course they may introduce a 15” iPad Pro, you never know.
