Hi All
Some settings I have found a tad better for the eyes..
This is for the 20inch Alu Intel iMac....
These are the settings that work for me anyway, except for the fonts, as some websites insist on over riding your settings and using theirs.
Firstly Calibrate, set all settings in Calibration onto the cross hairs, then set Gamma to just over 2.2, and target white point to 6000.
Display = 1344 x 840 Colours = Millions
Now for Fonts.
Mail set all to Helvetica 14 all.
Safari & Firefox fonts all set to Tahoma 18.
Lastly, just play with Brightness, this can change during the day depending on where you computer sits.
I have lots of natural light so my Brightness setting changes depending on the time of day, easy to do with the Brightness keys.
Oh yes and lastly, do not forget that this 20 inch panel has a very shallow viewing angle.
All this does not make it right that these machines are being shipped like this though, with me it is a case of I have eased the screen and I have read of people getting worse problems, so I am sticking with the one I have.
I have a great fast machine with all be it a slightly iffy panel, but I do not have a pc ridden with viruses, malware, key loggers, trojons etc etc. I have never owned what is known as a pc, only use the awful things at work (bluch).
Anyway, I hope my settings help some of you out.
