The price difference between the low-end and high-end models with my gov't discount is $250. According the wikipedia, the cost of the 3.06 and 3.2 GHz Core i3 is the same. The cost difference between the 500GB and 1TB hard drive is negligable. So, is $250 a reasonable price to pay just for the ATI 5670 512MB graphics card? Will it provide a significant amount of "future proofing". I'm not a gamer but my kids do play Sims 3. I will be doing a fair amount of video work using iMovie and FCE. Thanks for any of your thoughts.

You won't really benefit from the better GPU as you won't be gaming that much. I would go with the base 21.5", Apple just makes money with the upgrades

Thanks for the quick reply HH. Will probably run over and pick up the base model tonight.
