Hello,

Someone give me this iMac and it has some lines on the screen and i guess the screen needs replacement. But doing my research , based on the specs i found that most of the screens are 1440 x 900 and based on the specs it should be 1920 x 1080 TFT Active Matrix Lcd w/ Ips technology.

Here is few specs from the original box of the iMac and the screen:

Screen sticker say:
LM171W02 (TL) (B2)

iMac model A1311 or MC309LL/A

If anyone can help in what will be the screen to get for it or even if is worth fixing.

Thank you for your help.

Regards,
P.

Should be worth fixing. A screen is cheap (eBay). While you're into it slap an SSD in it and add RAM. I put an SSD in my mid-'11 and added a total of 8 Gs of RAM. It now really "screams."

Thanks for reply friend,

Problem is that i try to find the screen, but most say 1440 x 900, and based on the specs of the computer model it should be 1920 x 1080 TFT Active Matrix Lcd w/ Ips technology!
And on ebay seller don't even put up any specs, only that is a "LM171W02 (TL) (B2)" but is that a "1920 x 1080 TFT Active Matrix Lcd w/ Ips "?

That's what i am not sure....

But yes, i will trow a ssd and some ram in it, if i find a screen, the original.

Thanks!
