Hi guys. Thinking of getting the iMac still after seeing the refresh. I was wondering I there's any benchmark on how the iMac 21.5 base unit fares on Starcraft 2. Probs the only game i be playing with Diablo 3. So long as I can play on medium I don't mind. Also I'll generally be using my iMac for general usage and maybe remote desktopping and learn photoshopping. Would that be sufficient on the base unit?

In OS X, it should run fine on medium but if you're going to play it under Windows, then medium-high

I understand you have 27 iMac? Was wondering if there's any links or benchmarks to confirm the info before I take the bite. Not that I'm going against your word but I'd like to make doubly sure before I folk out 1k on a comp. I may go highend but I could use the extra 250£ towards an iPad.

Why not at least bump up to the high end 21.5" with ATI 5670? It'll definitely run your games better.

I'd recommend the higher end 21.5 inch as well. You'll probably be able to get a refurbished one for a lesser price soon enough. The mobility 5730 in the higher end 21.5 inch iMac will definitely be able to run sc2 on medium settings with confidence.
