hi,

right now i have one of the first generation macbooks (white, 2ghz core duo) and i am thinking about buying the newly updated $1499 imac. i have an external 22" samsung syncmaster 226BW screen that i use to play quake 3 because of its 2ms rating. i have yet to find another screen as good as this one and I doubt the 21.5" imac screen could deliver the same performance. now i'm wondering if i would still be able to run the 2ms screen to play games on it while i have music/web/mail etc running on the imac screen.

possible yes/no? thanks in advance! :)

i can assure you now that the iMac screen will produce a better and more crisp image.

the 2ms number comes from the time is takes the monitor to produce the image, not for the image to travel to the monitor.

you will need a mini DisplayPort->DVI adaptor (assuming the monitor can connect via DVI) in order to connect it to the imac, that will work fine :)
