I have a 21.5 inch iMac standard base one, i have a samsung 40inch LED, both connected to each other via hdmi and mini displayport. so here i am trying to play a mkv file via quicktime using the 'perian' codec plugin but the picture seems so framey and jerky on the mac but a little better on the tv. the TV is running at 100hz. what hz does the mac run at? is there any way round this?

p.s the mkv file is 10GB large
