21.5" Later 2012 Imac AHT [D On start up] error

I have a 2012 later Imac That I have been currently having problems with I am running macOS Catalina and I want to do a AHT And when I restart pressing D I get the following


Error: 0x8000000000000003, Cannot Load 'EFI/Drivers/TestSupport.efi'


Status: 0x00000003 Does anyone know what I can do to check my hardware in my computer. applications are opening up very slow. I am ready to order a SSD and 16 GB of RAM, But now I am questioning if that is the problem. I don't want to order this put it in and have the same problem can anyone help me

Diagnostics works only with post June 2013 iMacs and later.

Download the correct AHT from here, for an iMac model 13.2, drag to a USB thumb drive, boot from that and run tests.
