21 inch gateway monitor....

My mom is thinking of getting a nice LCD monitor for her gateway desktop. I do not know much about monitors except for resolution, size, and price. I have no idea which are good and which are not. Anyways, is this gateway monitor any good for the price, etc??

Certainly there are other options. the dell 2005(insert weird numbers here) is really good. They are pretty cheap.

There is a viewsonic monitor floating around the forums that I hear is quite delectable as well.

I own that Gateway monitor. It a very worthwhile purchase if you're going to take advantage of it's features. Otherwise, there are some other comparable models out there that are a little bit less expensive if you don't need any of the extra inputs or tilt.

Save your money and buy a 20.1" viewsonic widescreen for $354 -$15 if you use coupon at buy.com. This is the same lcd screen used in the Dell 2007fpw but with a smaller price tag. Search the board for "viewsonic widescreen" you will find people talking about it.

I've got the gateway 21". It's a fantastic display...supports HDCP so it will work with protected HD-DVD/Bluray when they eventually come out.

According to apple they can be connected to Glass (Windows) based PCS.
